Memorial Day Weekend

This day always makes me think on my priorities. I never had the honor of serving in the military, so I cautiously say a heartfelt thank you to those who have and express my deepest respect for those who gave it all so that the rest of us could live free.
Back to priorities, with work-life balance and all, I don't know that balance exists. It never has for me. There are times when business takes over and is all consuming. But in times of an illness or a new baby etc. the personal life is and should be the priority above anything else.  My wife often reminds me, when you're at work, be at work, but when you're with us BE WITH US. So if you are lucky enough to be enjoying a long weekend, give a minute to what you have and the sacrifices that made it possible.
